Ivrea

This lovely small town is situated on the road leading to the Aosta Valley (part of the medieval Via Francigena), it is straddles the Dora Baltea and is regarded as the centre of the Canavese area. The site which is known as "Industrial City of the 20th Century" was listed in 2018 as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town is also famous for its spectacular Carnival.
