For your information the Santhià to Vercelli stage is served by an efficient railway (Torino-Milano).
Workdays i.e. Mon - Fri - every hour 2 trains for Vercelli (every 16 and 38 minutes past the hour).
Every hour Mon - Fri (every 2 hours Sat and Sun and bank holidays) there is a train which goes to Vercelli also stopping at San Germano Vercellese and vice versa (at 16 min past the hours).
